Clarins is the best sold French plant-based brand in Europe(and maybe worldwide, but I’m not sure of that). They focus on NATURAL ACTIVE INGREDIENTS for their products. They are howerver not a “bio” or “natural cosmetics” brand, as they also use classical formulation to make their products.
Clarins will, howerver– when possible – prefer a natural active substance, to a chemical.
I personally love Clarins, and those of you who follow my blog, will surely have noticed this. They have so many beautiful products, use plant extracts and make wonderful textures. Everything to fall in love with a brand.
Multi-Active Nuit focusses on a younger client, let’s say women (and why not men) from thirty on. As it says on the packaging, it targets your (first) FINE LINES and has a REVITALIZING effecton your skin. It features several plant extracts that have a stimulating and anti-oxidative (cell-protecting) effect on skin. Plus HYALURONIC ACID, one of my beloved ones for plumping your skin and a few PEPTIDES for improved COLLAGEN PRODUCTION.
One of these precious plant extract is from the CALIFORNIA POPPY, that is said to have a protective effect against the damaging effect of stress, pollution and (blue) rays. Keeps our skin cells happy, and working well.
The texture is light but creamy and it is easily absorbed by your skin. If you like to use a light-textured night cream and you’re not yet int “heavy duty” night products, this is the one for you. The multi-active range is TYPICALLY A BEGINNERS RANGE, and aims at the first “anti-ageing” needs one might have.
By the way, our skin doesn’t do anything different during the night, that it wouldn’t be doing during daytime. The DIFFERENCE is, however, that during nighttime, several STRESS-FACTORS like pollution and light aren’t present, meaning skin can absorb and use the precious active ingredients in a better way.Nightcreams shouldn’t be greasy, by the way!
For whom?Everyone after 30, I’d say.
Skin type:anything except very oily or very dry.
Texture:light, sinks in quickly.
Pro’s:plant-based active ingredients, texture, smell.
Contra’s:dryer skin types will need a more creamy texture. (But Clarins has plenty of choice).
Clarins products are available from perfumeries and department stores.
