I have been discussing several Sun Creams in the past few weeks, but as the weather is getting more and more sunny, I thought another one could do no harm.

The DRY TOUCH Face Protection Cream by Biotherm offers – like the name says – a really non-greasy feel of a “BARE SKIN”. This is great for anyone looking for a  NON-OILY FACIAL SUN BLOCK, as most    “standard“ sun products tend to be a bit too oily if your skin is combination/oily. The term “Mallorca Acne” is commonly used for the acne-like symptoms some people develop when  using sun creams.

With the l’Oréal patented Sun Filter MEROXYL, you are certain to get a so called “broad spectrum” sun care product with full UVA-Protection. UVA is responsible for SKIN AGEING, meaning WRINKLES, SUN SPOTS and other things we would like to prevent. You can find the same filter in other l’Oréal-owned brands, such as Lancôme, La Roche Posay and Vichy, to name a few. Meroxyl has the advantage (over other sun filters) to be very “photo stable “, which means it does’t break down so easily in the (sun)light as many other sun filters do.

I particularly love the Biotherm Sun Range because of its LOVELY TEXTURES (both for men and women), the light and pleasant perfume and the fact they offer products for every skin type. Even if you’re skin is oily, you can use your skin care product underneath, without looking like something that just came out of a frying pan.

Good things about the product: HIGH-TECH, EFFECTIVE sun filters (both UVA and UVB, of course), very nice texture, doesn’t dry out your skin, even if it’s “dry touch”.

Negative points:  none for me. If you have issues about chemical sun filters you might not like its composition, but don’t forget that all sun filters – including the mineral ones – are being produced synthetically so …..

Fragrance: yes

Biotherm products are available through perfumeries and department stores.
